ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—JULY 9, 2018 4 <br /> Mayor Grant questioned how much that date may need to be adjusted. <br /> City Administrator Perrault anticipated the date may flex by two weeks. <br /> Mayor Grant asked how many applications the City has received for the new position. <br /> City Administrator Perrault indicated the City has received one application to date and noted <br /> the application deadline was July 20. <br /> Councilmember Holden stated she pulled this item because she believed the termination was <br /> premature. She commented further on the hiring timeline and recommended the Council revisit <br /> this item on July 23. <br /> Mayor Grant suggested this item be tabled to a date certain. <br /> Councilmember Holmes requested comment from staff on this matter. <br /> Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka stated she would like to have an overlap with the <br /> new hire and WSB if possible. She noted she had spoken with Mr. Brotzler at WSB regarding the <br /> 90-day termination clause and they were willing to be flexible on this matter. <br /> Councilmember Holmes questioned if staff would support this item being tabled to July 23. <br /> City Administrator Perrault supported this item being tabled. <br /> MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br /> motion to table action on the WSB Engineering Services Contract to the July <br /> 23,2018 City Council meeting. The motion carried (5-0). <br /> 8. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> None. <br /> 9. NEW BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 11. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember Scott stated Beyond the Yellow Ribbon would be hosting a Change of <br /> Command Ceremony at the National Guard on Sunday, July 15 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ben Franklin <br /> Readiness Center. <br />
