Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Since 1,4-DX was identified on TCAAP and throughout the study the County has sought answers to the <br />following questions: <br /> <br />• Will existing extraction or monitoring wells be removed within RCC? <br />• Will new extraction wells or monitoring wells be added within RCC? <br />• Will the existing TGRS piping change in size and/or location? <br />• Will new TGRS piping be added? <br />• Will changes be made to the existing water treatment plant building? <br />• Will new facilities be added to the existing treatment facility or will new treatment facilities be <br />created to address 1,4 dioxane? <br />• What, if any, regulatory steps are required based on Army modifications to the TRGS system? <br />What is the timeline for these regulatory steps? <br /> <br />Ultimately the County, JDA, and developer are seeking greater clarity regarding the Army’s long-term <br />obligations to remediate groundwater on the site and how those obligations may impact the final design <br />and implementation of infrastructure as well as timing of development. <br /> <br />Copies of the TGRS Optimization Study will be provided to the JDA, when completed, and placed on a <br />meeting agenda for further discussion at that time.
