-AIQENN HILLS
Approved: September 10, 2018
CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA
SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION
AUGUST 13,2018
6:00 P.M. - ARDEN HILLS CITY HALL
CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, Mayor Grant called to order the Special City
Council Work Session at 6:00 p.m.
Present: Mayor David Grant; Councilmembers Brenda Holden, Fran Holmes and
Steve Scott
Absent: Councilmember Dave McClung (Excused)
Also present: City Administrator Dave Perrault; Public Works Director/City Engineer Sue
Polka; Communications Coordinator Dawn Skelly; and City Clerk Julie Hanson
1. AGENDA ITEMS
A. State Fair No Parking—North Heights Church Park and Ride
Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka stated that she worked with the Ramsey County
Sheriff's office to create preliminary plan for designating no parking areas near North Heights
Church as this is now a Park and Ride location.
Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka stated signs would be placed on the east/west
portion of Keithson Drive and the north/south potion of Royal Hills Drive between Keithson Drive
and Arden View Drive. She noted that Snelling Avenue is already permanently signed for no
parking but additional no parking signs would be put in place between the existing permanent
signs due to spacing. She stated staff will keep an eye on this area and address issues if the need
arises.
A discussion ensued regarding the locations of the new no parking signs in the North Heights
Church area
B. Website Upgrade Project
Communications Coordinator Skelly presented the greyscale layout provided by CivicPlus. She
explained that this is a wireframe layout before the design phase and represents a broad look at the
new website.
