Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: August 13, 2018 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />David Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Temporary Permit to Construct for Governmental Entities - Watermain <br />Improvements for State Project 6205-39 US 10, I35W to CR 96 <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />• Adopting Resolution 2018-049 approving the Temporary Permit to Construct for the US <br />10 Watermain Improvements as shown on Attachment A. <br /> <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />Staff has been working with MnDOT to include watermain replacement to be included with the <br />Highway Improvements for State Project 6205-39 US 10, I35W to CR 96. The project includes <br />widening US 10, providing a slip ramp from the US 10 service road to Highway 96, providing <br />both right in and right out access from the service road to US 10, and construction of 20-foot <br />high noise walls in addition to replacement of the City’s 12” watermain in the project area. <br /> <br />MnDOT requires the City to obtain a no cost temporary permit to construct the watermain within <br />state right of way.
