ORDINANCE NO.2018-002 <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11 <br />OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS: <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 11 - Subdivisions, Section 1100 and Section 1130.08 shall be <br />amended to read as follows: <br />Section 1100 General Provisions <br />1100.04 Definitions. For the purpose of this chapter, the following terms, phrases, words and <br />their derivations shall have the meaning given in this section. <br />• Public Works Design Manual. A manual adopted by the City Council that details the <br />requirements for public street and utility construction within the City, <br />1100.07 Arden Hills Public Works Design Manual. All platted subdivisions within the <br />incorporated limits of the City shall be developed in conformance with the Arden Hills Public <br />Works Design Manual, unless a waiver is granted by the City Council. The Public Works Design <br />Manual may be amended from time to time by the City Council. In cases where there is a conflict <br />between the Public Works Design Manual and this chapter, the Public Works Design Manual shall <br />supersede. <br />Section 1130.08 Public Use Dedications <br />Subd. 3 Park, trails, and open space land dedication and development. This subsection is adopted <br />for the purpose of providing for the recreation, health, and well-being of the public through the <br />orderly development of an interconnected system of parks, trails, and open spaces. The City finds <br />that the dedication and improvement requirements as defined in this subsection are necessary to <br />meet the minimum needs for parks, trails, wetlands, and open spaces resulting from development <br />subject to Section 1130.08. At its discretion, the City may require subdividers or developers to <br />satisfy the land dedication requirement or the park development fee requirement, or both. In <br />evaluating the land dedication and park development requirements for a specific application, the <br />City may consider whether in conjunction with a previous subdivision an adequate area of land <br />was conveyed or dedicated to the City to meet the minimum needs for parks, trails, wetlands, and <br />open spaces resulting from the subject development proposal. <br />B.
