Recommend Approval without Conditions: Motion to recommend approval of Planning Case <br />18-001 for a Preliminary Plat, Final Plat, Comprehensive Plan Amendment, and Variance for <br />the property located at 3246 New Brighton Road, based on the findings of fact and submitted <br />plans in the April 4, 2018 Report to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />3. Recommend Denial: Motion to recommend denial of 18-001 for a Preliminary Plat, Final <br />Plat, Comprehensive Plan Amendment, and Variance for the property located at 3246 New <br />Brighton Road, based on the following findings of fact: findings to deny should specifically <br />reference the reasons for denial and why those reasons cannot be mitigated. <br /> <br />4. Table: Motion to table Planning Case 18-001 for a Preliminary Plat, Final Plat, <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment, and Variance for the property located at 3246 New <br />Brighton Road for the following reasons: a specific reason and/or information request should <br />be included with a motion to table. <br /> <br /> <br />Public Notice <br /> <br />Notice of the public hearing for the Preliminary Plat, Final Plat, Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment, and Variance was published in the Shoreview-Arden Hills Bulletin on March 21, <br />2018, and mailed to all properties within 1,000 feet of the subject property. <br /> <br /> <br />Public Comments <br /> <br />Staff has received emails from two residents in the area stating their opposition to the proposed <br />variance request. A copy of these correspondences has been included in Attachment I. <br /> <br /> <br />Deadline for Agency Actions <br /> <br />The City of Arden Hills received the completed application for this request on March 5, 2018. <br />Pursuant to Minnesota State Statute, the City is required to act on this request by May 4, 2018 <br />(60 days) unless the City provides the petitioner with written reasons for an additional 60 day <br />review period. The City may, with the consent of the applicant, extend the review period beyond <br />the initial 120 days. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
