<br /> <br />City of Arden Hills <br />Economic Development Commission Meeting for March 7, 2018 <br />P:\Planning\Comprehensive Plan\2018 Comprehensive Plan\Memos <br /> <br />Page 2 of 2 <br />The Economic Development Commission last reviewed the draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan at <br />their meeting on September 6, 2017 when they looked at the Land Use chapter. WSB has <br />provided the attached memo providing a summary of recent changes made to the draft plan <br />following the City Council Work Session on February 20, 2018. <br /> <br />WSB will be in attendance at the meeting on March 7, 2018 to present the entire draft 2040 <br />Comprehensive Plan and to help facilitate the Economic Development Commission’s discussion. <br />While staff is requesting feedback on any items within the plan, the EDC may wish to focus on <br />the Land Use (Chapter 6) and Economic Development and Redevelopment sections (Chapter 8) <br />given the length of the document. <br /> <br />Staff is anticipating that the public hearing for the 2040 Comprehensive Plan will be held at the <br />Planning Commission meeting on April 4, 2018. The City Council would be asked to review the <br />final draft of the plan on April 23, 2018 and approve its release to affected jurisdictions for <br />review. The City will need to provide affected jurisdictions six months to review the plan, after <br />which time the City Council will be asked to formally adopt the Comprehensive Plan and <br />approve submittal to the Metropolitan Council. The deadline for submittal is December 31, 2018. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
