Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6D <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: November 13, 2018 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Resolution Certifying the 2018 Municipal Election Canvass Results <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $ $ $ <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br />Approving resolution 2018-061 certifying the 2018 municipal election canvass results. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />Members of the City Council are required by State Statute to certify the results of the Municipal <br />Election to the Ramsey County Auditor within three (3) to ten (10) days after the general <br />election. <br /> <br />Attached is a copy of Resolution 2018-061 and an election abstract certifying the 2018 municipal <br />election results from the November 6, 2018, general election. Please note the write-in tally sheets <br />were not yet available from Ramsey County as of the writing of this memo, and that information <br />will be provided as bench handout at the November 13th Council meeting, if available. <br /> <br />The following are results from the 2018 election: <br /> <br />• David Grant as Arden Hills Mayor for a four-year term beginning in January 2019; <br />• Fran Holmes as Arden Hills City Councilmember for a four-year term beginning in <br />January 2019; and. <br />• Steve Scott as Arden Hills City Councilmember for a four-year term beginning in <br />January 2019. <br /> <br />Attachments <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2018-061 <br />Attachment B: Abstract of Votes Cast
