Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: December 10, 2018 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />David Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br />David Swearingen, Senior Engineering Tech <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Old Snelling Avenue Bridge Replacement Project – Payment No. 1 <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br /> $1,750,000.00 $392,514.00 PIR, MnDOT Bridge Bond <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />The City Council is requested to approve Payment No. 1 for the Old Snelling Bridge Project to <br />VEIT & Company, Inc.in the amount of $267,592.92. <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />On September 10, 2018, the City Council adopted Resolution 2018-058 Awarding the Old <br />Snelling Avenue Bridge Replacement Project to VEIT & Company, Inc. in the amount of <br />$392,514.00. <br /> <br />The project is approximately 70% complete with a majority of the work installed. Five percent <br />is being withheld from the work completed in accordance with the contract documents. The first <br />payment is in the amount of $267,592.92. Kimley Horn has provided a recommendation to pay <br />the first voucher (Attachment A).
