CONSENT ITEM— 7B <br /> 'It <br /> �-iIZEN�HILLS <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: January 28, 2019 <br /> TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> FROM: Mike Mrosla, City Planner <br /> SUBJECT: Planning Case #18-027 <br /> Applicant: Land O'Lakes <br /> Property Location: 4001 Lexington Avenue North <br /> Request: Site Plan Review— Sign Standard Adjustment <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> Council Should Consider the Following: <br /> Motion to approve Planning Case 18-027 for a Site Plan Review for a Sign Standard Adjustment <br /> for Land O' Lakes,based on the findings of fact and the submitted plans, as amended by the eight <br /> (8) conditions of approval in the January 28, 2019 Report to the City Council. <br /> Background <br /> Sign Source has submitted an application for a Sign Standard Adjustment via Site Plan Review on <br /> behalf of Land O' Lakes. The Applicant is requesting a Sign Standard Adjustment that would <br /> allow for a deviation from the Sign Code to increase the permitted size of freestanding monument <br /> and auxiliary signs. This report includes the terms "sign area" and "sign copy area." To clarify <br /> between the two terms, "sign area" is defined as the area encompassing the sign face or sign <br /> structure, while "sign copy area" is defined as the area around the words or graphics on the sign. <br /> Land O' Lakes' corporate campus consists of 47 acres and includes three buildings, including a <br /> recently completed -150,000 square foot office building addition. With the completion of the <br /> office building and new parking lot configuration the Applicant is requesting to replace and add <br /> additional auxiliary directional signs. In addition, the Applicant is requesting to replace the two <br /> (2) freestanding monument signs located adjacent to County Road F West and Lexington Avenue <br /> North.
