<br />WHEREAS, the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and TARGET is sponsoring a nationwide
<br />crime prevention program on Tuesday, August Sth, 2008 entitled "National Night Out"; and
<br />WHEREAS, the "25th Annual National Night Out" provides a unique opportunity for the City of Arden Hills to
<br />join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative,
<br />police-community crime prevention efforts; and
<br />WHEREAS, Arden Hills plays a vital role in assisting the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department through joint
<br />crime prevention efforts in Arden Hills and is supporting "National Night Out 2008": locally; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is essential that the citizens of Arden Hills be aware of the importance of crime prevention
<br />programs and the impact that their participation can have on reducing crime in Arden Hills; and
<br />WHEREAS, police-community partnerships, neighborhood safety, awareness and cooperation are important
<br />themes of the "National Night Out" program;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor, Stan Harpstead, and WE, Council Members, David Grant, Brenda Holden,
<br />Fran Holmes, Dave McClung, DO HEREBY CALL UPON ALL CITIZENS OF ARDEN HILLS, RAMSEY
<br />COLJNTY, to join the RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION
<br />OF TOWN WATCH and TARGET in supporting the "25th Annual National Night Out" on August Sth, 2008.
