<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: March 19, 2019 <br /> <br />TO: Parks Trails and Recreation Committee <br /> <br />FROM: Sara Knoll, Parks and Recreation Coordinator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Hazelnut Park Improvements <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The Parks and Recreation Department has been working with the Public Works <br />Director/Engineer on the Hazelnut Park Improvement project. Bolton & Menk drafted some <br />concept plans for the park. <br /> <br />In the concept plans you will see an improved parking lot, trail to the warming house (easily <br />accessible for everyone), brush cutting along New Brighton Road (will allow a better view of the <br />dog park in the summer and ice rink in the winter), warming house and storage building and an <br />improved shelter. <br /> <br />Hazelnut Park receives a lot of use during the year. The proposed improvements will allow <br />many more people to enjoy the park and the amenities. <br /> <br />Action Requested <br /> <br />Please take a look at the proposed concept plans and bring any ideas, questions or concerns to the <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
