CONSENT ITEM - 7L <br /> <br />DATE: April 22, 2019 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sara Knoll, Parks and Recreation Coordinator <br /> Sue Polka, Public Works Director / City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Accepting Donation from the Arden Hills Foundation <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The Arden Hills Foundation has been established as a 501c3 organization. Pursuant to Minnesota <br />Statutes Section 465.03 for the benefit of its citizens, cities are authorized to accept gifts and <br />bequests for the benefits of recreational services. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The Arden Hills Foundation has donated $1000.00 to the City of Arden Hills for use at the Floral <br />Park Gardens. This donation was given to the Arden Hills Foundation from Graco Corporation <br />and resident Dean Dietz. To comply with State Statutes, the City needs to acknowledge the <br />donation and issue receipt of the donation to the Arden Hills Foundation. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br /> <br />Motion to Approve Resolution 2019-014 Accepting a Donation from the Arden Hills Foundation <br />in the Amount of $1000.00. <br /> <br />Attachment <br /> <br />Attachment A: Resolution 2019-014 <br /> MEMORANDUM
