Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 7G <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: April 22, 2019 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Resolution 2019-017 Approving Premise Permit Application for Minnesota <br />Fastpitch Academy Foundation for Charitable Gambling at Welsch’s Big Ten <br />Tavern <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> $ $ $ <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Resolution 2019-017 approving a premise permit for Minnesota Fastpitch Academy Foundation <br />to conduct charitable gambling at Welsch’s Big Ten Tavern (Big Ten) for a period expiring June <br />30, 2020. <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />In 2018, the City Council approved a charitable gambling license for the Spring Lake Park Lions <br />for charitable gambling at Big Ten. The Spring Lake Park Lions have since terminated its lease <br />with Big Ten and the business sought another opportunity with the Minnesota Fastpitch <br />Academy Foundation (Applicant). <br /> <br />The Applicant has been made aware of the requirements which include providing financial <br />reports to the City.
