ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—APRIL 22, 2019 6 <br /> Councilmember Scott reported on Friday, May 3 he would be attending a webinar for budgeting <br /> for municipal officials. <br /> Councilmember McClung explained he read the majority leader of the United States Senate, <br /> Mitch McConnell is going to be introducing a bill to raise the tobacco age to 21 nationally. <br /> Councilmember Holden stated the playground equipment had been torn out of Cummings Park <br /> and the new equipment should be installed mid-May. <br /> Councilmember Holden commented the Council met with the Sheriff's Department at a recent <br /> worksession meeting. She encouraged residents to contact the Council with any questions they <br /> may have for the Sheriff's Department. <br /> Councilmember Holden reported Boston Scientific is going to have another 400 to 500 <br /> employees moving to their campus in Arden Hills. <br /> Councilmember Holden stated the City of Arden Hills had not heard from Blake Huffman for <br /> 146 days noting the City received a comment from Commissioner Huffman on February 4. She <br /> reported it had been an additional 77 days that the City had not heard from Commissioner <br /> Huffman. <br /> Mayor Grant commented Boston Scientific was shutting down its Minnetonka facility and would <br /> be moving those employees to Arden Hills. He discussed the renovations Boston Scientific was <br /> proposing to make to their corporate campus. <br /> Mayor Grant stated he presented to the North Chamber recently and updated this organization on <br /> the Red Bulls and Boston Scientific. He was pleased to report the economy was in a positive <br /> place right now. <br /> Mayor Grant commented on the percentage of affordable housing in Arden Hills at this time, <br /> noting this was 46.5%. He stated this was a leading percent in the metro area. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Councilmember McClung moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a <br /> motion to adiourn.
