Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br />DATE: May 13, 2019 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />David Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Sue Polka, Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Water System Model Update – Professional Services Agreement with AE2S <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Sources: <br /> N/A $32,000.00 Water Utility <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br />Authorize a professional services agreement with AE2S for the City’s water system model <br />update in the amount of $32,000.00 (Attachment A). <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />Staff has been working with Ramsey County to update the Emergency Operations Plan. In <br />addition, the City of Roseville has updated their water model to identify areas of improvement <br />and potential added connections within the St. Paul Regional Water System. The City’s water <br />model is used in emergency operations planning in which we work closely with Roseville as the <br />City’s water supplier. <br /> <br />AE2S has provided scope and fees for the water model calibration and update in the amount of <br />$32,000. The three project phases are as follows: <br /> <br />1. Hydraulic Model Development <br />2. Water Distribution System Field Testing (includes staff training) <br />3. Hydraulic Model Calibration <br /> <br />AE2S is currently completing the design of the City’s utility monitoring system and has provided <br />modeling service for the Old Snelling watermain loop.
