ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – JUNE 10, 2019 7 <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott indicated he did not know Chief Boehlke personally, but sent his <br />condolences to the entire Boehlke family after the passing of his 25-year-old son. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holmes stated on Saturday, June 8 the City’s State representatives had a Town <br />Hall meeting at the Shoreview Community Center. She noted she attended this event along with <br />Councilmember Scott. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden reported on Tuesday, June 11 at 6:00 p.m. there would be a meeting at <br />City Hall regarding the fire station property on New Brighton Road. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden requested staff provide the Council with a report on the amount of water <br />being used from Roseville and the amount that was being billed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Holden commented on a property along County Road E2 and requested code <br />enforcement address the long grass. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant stated he received a letter from the Met Council with an estimation on population <br />and reported Arden Hills has a population of 9,889. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant noted he met with Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer Polka, <br />Superintendent Jeff Frid, and City Administrator Perrault to discuss the McCracken Nature Trail. <br />He explained a short-term solution had been created to address this concern. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant commented on the new hands-free driving requirements that would go into effect <br />on August 1, 2019. <br /> <br />Mayor Grant sent his condolences to Chief Boehlke and his family. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to adjourn.
