<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-025 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BASE BID FOR THE TENNIS COURT IMPROVEMENTS FOR <br />CUMMINGS, HAZELNUT AND ROYAL HILLS PARKS PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Tennis Court Improvements for <br />Cummings, Hazelnut and Royal Hills Parks Project, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according <br />to the law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br /> Bidder Base Bid Bid Alternate Total Bid <br /> Bituminous Roadways $303,782.00 $192,322.50 $496,104.50 <br /> Urban Companies $353,409.50 $213,644.00 $567,053.50 <br /> Pember Companies, Inc. $366,330.55 $208,420.85 $574,751.40 <br /> Meyer Contracting, Inc. $435,404.90 $199,765.70 $635,170.60 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Bituminous Roadways, Inc. of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, is the <br />lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ARDEN <br />HILLS, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract <br />with Bituminous Roadways, Inc. of Mendota Heights, Minnesota in the name of the City of <br />Arden Hills for the Tennis Court Improvements for Cummings, Hazelnut and Royal Hills Parks <br />Project for the base bid items and declining the bid alternate, according to the plans and <br />specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits <br />made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder i <br />shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br /> <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS THIS 22ND <br />DAY OF JULY, 2019. <br /> <br />____________________________________ <br /> David Grant, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Julie Hanson, City Clerk <br />
