<br /> Railroad right-of-way. A strip of land with tracks and auxiliary facilities for track
<br />operation, but not including depots, loading platforms, station, train sheds, warehouses, car
<br />shops, car yards, locomotive shops or water towers.
<br />
<br /> Reach. A hydraulic engineering term to describe a longitudinal segment of a stream or
<br />river influenced by a natural or man-made obstruction. In an urban area, the segment of a stream
<br />or river between two consecutive bridge crossings would most typically constitute a reach.
<br />
<br /> Recreation, commercial. Recreational facilities which are operated for profit or render a
<br />service which is customarily considered as a business.
<br />
<br /> Recreation, residential. Play apparatus such as swing sets and slides, sandboxes, poles
<br />for nets, picnic tables, lawn chairs, barbecue stands, and similar equipment or structures, when
<br />used on residential property, but not including electronic towers, tree houses, swimming pools,
<br />playhouses exceeding twenty-five (25) square feet of floor area, or sheds utilized for storage of
<br />equipment.

<br /> Recreational vehicles (RVs). Vehicles for recreational or utilitarian uses that can be
<br />driven, towed, or hauled. Including, but not limited to, motor homes and travel trailers,
<br />snowmobiles, pull campers, all terrain vehicles (ATVs), tent trailers, or other similar

<br /> Recreational vehicles (for the purposes of Section 1335 only). A vehicle that is built on a
<br />single chassis, is 400 square feet or less when measured at the largest horizontal projection, is
<br />designed to be self-propelled or permanently towable by a light duty truck, and is designed
<br />primarily not for use as a permanent dwelling but as temporary living quarters for recreational,
<br />camping, travel, or seasonal use. For the purposes of Section 1335, the term recreational vehicle
<br />shall be synonymous with the term travel trailer/travel vehicle. (added 05/05/10)

<br /> Recreational Vehicles, Utility Trailers, Riding Lawn Mowers, and Watercraft
<br />Height. The distance as measured from the ground to the highest point of the recreational
<br />vehicle, utility trailer, or watercraft, including any covering, as stored. This does not including
<br />antennas and utility/mechanical systems provided they are accessory and take up no more than
<br />ten (10) percent of the roof surface area. RVs and watercraft on a trailer shall be measured as

<br />Length. The distance as measured from end to end of the recreational vehicle, utility trailer, or
<br />watercraft, including any hitch, motor, and covering, as stored. RVs and watercraft on a trailer

<br /> Regional flood. A flood which is representative of large floods known to have occurred
<br />generally in Minnesota and reasonably characteristic of what can be expected to occur on an
<br />average frequency in the magnitude of the 100-year recurrence interval. Regional flood is
<br />synonymous with the term "base flood", 1 percent annual chance flood, or 100-year elevation.
