DATE: August 26, 2019 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Authorize Staff to Begin Recruitment Process for Maintenance Worker <br /> <br />Budgeted Amount: Estimated Amount: Funding Source: <br />N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />Council should consider authorizing staff to begin the recruitment process for a Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />Following the resignation of a maintenance worker, the City currently has a vacancy for a <br />maintenance worker in the Public Works Department. <br /> <br />Staff will post this internally first and review candidates, if a successful candidate is not found <br />then staff will post externally. <br /> <br />Anticipated process: <br />-Council approves authorization to begin the hiring process <br />-Staff posts internally and reviews candidates, potential external posting if there are not any <br />suitable candidates <br />-Staff reviews applications, interviews candidates, and selects a finalist <br />-Staff will add their recommendation to the consent calendar at a future meeting <br /> <br />This position will not be brought forward to the Personnel Committee or City Council for future <br />consideration except for final approval at a City Council meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6C <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />
