Parks, Trails & Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes May 21, 2019 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Straumann reviewed page by page highlights from the master plan document. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />5. REPORTS <br /> <br />Committee Member O’Malley mentioned that there is a broken/sagging fence on the new path by <br />the underpass near Bethel University. <br /> <br />Committee Member Dietz said at 1366 Indian Oaks Trail the trees have been clear cut through to <br />the trail and a huge willow tree was also cut down. <br /> <br /> Staff Liaison Knoll noted that next month the committee will have their annual trail and park <br />tour. She will also try to get a TCAAP tour scheduled. A summer fun event at one of the trial <br />heads off of County Road H could still be planned, engagement from members is needed. <br /> <br />City Council Liaison Grant presented the Rotary Foundation Paul Harris Fellowship Award <br />which is given to one individual per year in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance <br />given for the furtherance of better understanding of friendly relations among people of the world. <br />Awarded to Paul Beggin for his work with the City, the Rotary and Sports Commission over a <br />significant amount of time. <br /> <br />6. NEXT MEETING <br /> <br />The next PTRC Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:41 p.m.
