City of Arden Hills Personnel Policy'_` Effective February 29, 2016 <br />ri` 1 ILN HILLS Amended December- ' n October 28 2019 <br />(last 4 hours of working day) (this turns into a floater in years that New Year's <br />Eve lands on a Saturday or a Sunday) <br />1 Floating Holiday Determined by the employee with supervisor <br />approval <br />Official holidays commence at the beginning of the first shift of the day on which the <br />holiday is observed and continue for twenty-four (24) hours thereafter. <br />Whenever a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be considered the holiday. <br />Whenever a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be considered the holiday. <br />Employees will receive full pay at their normal straight time rates for eight (8) hours for <br />each holiday listed provided the employee is on compensated payroll status the last assigned <br />work day preceding the holiday, and the first assigned work day following the holiday. Any <br />employee on a leave of absence without pay from the City is not eligible for holiday pay. <br />Employees required to work on a designated holiday shall be compensated two (2) times <br />their base hourly pay rate for each hour worked. Full-time or part-time employees who <br />work an average of 20 hours a week or more will be eligible for pro -rated holiday pay. This <br />pay will be based on their average daily hours worked. <br />
