City of Arden Hills Personnel Policy'_` Effective February 29, 2016 <br />ri` 1 ILN HILLS Amended December- ' n October 28 2019 <br />their own hours of work and that they may work hours in excess of the normal work day <br />and/or payroll period and may make adjustments in hours of work in subsequent work <br />days and/or payroll periods, provided such time management system does not result in <br />overtime payment or guarantee hour -for -hour time off for extra hours worked (Flex <br />time). These employees should maintain their schedules on their Outlook calendar. <br />Exempt employees must communicate their absence to their supervisor or in their <br />absence the City Administrator or his/her designee. <br />If one of the above employees is regularly absent from work under this policy and it is <br />found that there is excessive time away from work, the situation will be handled as a <br />performance issue. Additional notification and approval requirements may be adopted by <br />the City Administrator or his/her designee for specific situations as determined <br />necessary. <br />39 <br />
