'It EN HILLS CITY OF ARDEN HILLS RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA SUMMARY ORDINANCE NO. 2019-008 Attachment B AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, UTILITIES, BY ADDING SECTION 1000.24, REGULATING NONESSENTIAL WATER USAGE UPON CRITICAL WATER DEFICIENCY AS AUTHORIZED BY MINN. STAT. § 103G.291, SUBD. 1 AND 2, OF THE ARDEN HILLS CITY CODE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on November 12, 2019, Ordinance No. 2019-008 was adopted by the City Council of the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, because of the lengthy nature of Ordinance No. 2019-008, the following summary of the ordinance has been prepared for publication. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the ordinance adopted by the City Council adding Section 1000.24 to Chapter 10 regulates nonessential water usage upon a gubernatorial determination of a critical water deficiency. The new section establishes water conservation restrictions, the effective date of the restrictions pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 103G.291, and as required by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and applies to all customers of public water suppliers who own or control water use on any premises. The ordinance explains the procedures if critical water deficiency is declared by the governor, the mandatory emergency water conservation measures that are to be implemented, establishes what constitutes violations, and the enforcement procedures of those violations. A printed copy of the whole ordinance is available for inspection by any person during the City's regular office hours or on the City's website.
