Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br />ITEM – 1A <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: November 20, 2019 <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Mike Mrosla, Community Development Manager/City Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: MVHS Traffic Study Discussion <br /> <br /> Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> NA NA NA <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />At their September 23, 2019 meeting, the City Council approved WSB’s professional services <br />agreement to study school related traffic on Lake Valentine Road adjacent to Mounds View High <br />School. At that meeting, the City Council requested a meeting with WSB to provide input prior to <br />compiling the information and making a formal recommendation. WSB has completed its initial data <br />collection and will be presenting the following information to Council: <br /> <br />x Background of the study <br />x Our data collection efforts <br />x Findings from our data and field observation <br />x Issues and constraints <br />x Potential opportunities (alternatives) for improving the circulation and safety <br /> <br />Process <br /> <br />This meeting, as requested by Council, is intended to be an initial discussion and allow for the Council to <br />provide input prior to WSB completing the study and making a recommendation. Following the workshop <br />discussion, WSB will then study and review potential opportunities (alternatives) taking into account the City <br />Council feedback.
