all Metropolitan Land Planning Act requirements; conforms to regional system plans; is consistent <br />with Thrive MSP 2040; and is compatible with the plans of adjacent jurisdictions. The <br />Metropolitan Council authorized the City to put its 2040 Comprehensive Plan into effect as <br />submitted. The Metropolitan Council also approved the City's Comprehensive Sewer Policy Plan. <br />Minnesota Statutes require that local governments adopt their comprehensive plans with any <br />required modifications within nine months of the final decision by the Metropolitan Council. As <br />noted above, the Metropolitan Council did have a few technical changes and corrections. None of <br />the changes impacted the policies discussed by the City Council. The amended chapters and the <br />full 2040 Comprehensive Plan are available online at https://www.cityofardenhills.org/421/Draft- <br />2040-Comprehensive-Plan. <br />Implementation <br />Upon official adoption, a city is generally required to amend the official controls (i.e. zoning, <br />subdivision, and other ordinances) within nine months to bring the City ordinances into <br />conformance with the Comprehensive Plan. While a few tweaks may be needed, significant <br />changes to the zoning and subdivision ordinances are not anticipated to be needed because there <br />are no significant land use changes. <br />Budget Impact: <br />NA <br />Attachments <br />A.
