STAFF COMMENTS — 4B <br />,-ARZEN HILLS <br />MEMORANDUM <br />DATE: November 25, 2019 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br />Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />FROM: Todd Blomstrom, Interim Public Works Director/City Engineer <br />SUBJECT: Transportation Update <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br />MnDOT is completing construction activities associated with travel lane shifts and the temporary <br />ramp closures along I -35W at County Road C and County Road D. A majority of the project <br />area has been shifted to the winter configuration. Additional project information regarding the <br />upcoming 2020 construction staging plan will be available prior to the start of the 2020 <br />construction season. <br />Staff is working with MnDOT to address the dead tree located along the I -35W corridor near the <br />County Road E2 interchange, which was an item mentioned during a previous City Council <br />meeting. <br />With the conclusion of the 2019 construction season, staff recommends that the Transportation <br />Update agenda item be suspended for the winter season and resume at the second City Council <br />meeting in March 2020. <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />
