<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: November 19, 2019 <br /> <br />TO: Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee <br /> <br />FROM: Sara Knoll, Parks and Recreation Coordinator <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Arden Hills Trail Priorities <br /> <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />The City Council has asked the Parks, Trails and Recreation Committee to prioritize a list of the <br />trail connections in Arden Hills. Planning urban pathways with other city and regional planning <br />efforts can better integrate pathways into the city’s transportation and greenspace network, <br />providing more opportunities for active transportation and recreation. <br /> <br />Trails are an important part of providing multi-modal transportation options. They allow <br />residents to access close-to-home recreation opportunities and provide off-street connections <br />between neighborhoods, schools, parks and local businesses. They provide active transportation <br />that improves community health, creates livable neighborhoods and allows people of all ages and <br />abilities to get outside and get moving. <br /> <br />Action Requested <br /> <br />Please look over the trail priorities that were discussed at the last PTRC Meeting. If there is <br />anything that was missed or needs to be addressed please bring it forward at the November <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
