<br />City of Arden Hills <br />Economic Development Commission February 5, 2020 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />DATE: February 5, 2020 EDC Agenda Item 5.A <br /> <br />TO: Economic Development Commission Chair and Commissioners <br /> <br />FROM: Mike Mrosla – Community Development Manager/City Planner <br /> <br />SUBJECT: EDC 2020-001 - Bi-Monthly Meetings and Meeting Date and Time Amendment <br /> <br /> <br />Commission Should Consider <br /> <br />Amending the upcoming Economic Development Commission meeting schedule for 2020 and <br />beyond. <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />The proposed modifications Economic Development Commission meeting schedule are intended <br />to be cognizant of the commissioners’ time. The following are the proposed changes: <br /> <br />1. Economic Development Commission meetings shall occur bi-monthly. Meetings would <br />be held during the months of February, April, June, August, October and December in any <br />given year. <br />2. Meeting date shall be rescheduled from the first Wednesday of the month to the fourth <br />Wednesday of the month. <br />3. Meeting shall start at 7:30 AM and end at 8:30 AM. <br /> <br />Motion Language <br /> <br />Staff has provided the following options and motion language for this case. <br /> <br />1. Recommend Approval: Motion to recommend approval of EDC 2020-001 - Bi-Monthly <br />Meetings and Meeting Date and Time Amendment. <br />2. Recommend Approval with Amendments: Motion to recommend approval EDC 2020- <br />001 - Bi-Monthly Meetings and Meeting Date and Time Amendment: a specific reason <br />should be included with amendments. <br />3. Recommend Denial: Motion to recommend denial of EDC 2020-001 - Bi-Monthly <br />Meetings and Meeting Date and Time Amendment: findings to deny should specifically <br />reference the reasons for denial. <br />4. Table: Motion to table EDC 2020-001 - Bi-Monthly Meetings and Meeting Date and Time <br />Amendment: a specific reason and/or information request should be included with a <br />motion to table.
