Parks,Trails&Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes November 19,2019 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Discussion ensued regarding potential placement and funding for the Michaelson Park Bench. <br /> Staff Liaison Knoll said she will contact the family to see if they would like a park bench or if <br /> they have other ideas for use of the funds. <br /> Chair Straumann suggested that a list of park benches and where they are located would be nice <br /> to have. <br /> B. Trail Priorities <br /> Chair Straumann reviewed the City and County trails and potential future projects. <br /> Chair Straumann reviewed trail priorities: North to South 1) Lindey's Park to South Snelling <br /> Avenue, 2) Old Snelling Avenue Trail from E2 to Lake Valentine Road/Valentine Park, 3) Old <br /> Snelling from Lake Valentine Road/Valentine Park to Highway 96. West to East 1) Parkshore <br /> Drive from Snelling Avenue to Round Lake Road West, 2) Lake Valentine Road from Valentine <br /> Park entrance to Mounds View High School. <br /> Discussion ensued and items were re-prioritized: 1) Lindey's Park to South Snelling Avenue, 2) <br /> Old Snelling Avenue Trail from E2 to Lake Valentine Road/Valentine Park, 3) Parkshore Drive <br /> from Snelling Avenue to Gateway Boulevard, 4) Lake Valentine Road from Valentine Park <br /> entrance to Mounds View High School, 5) Old Snelling from Lake Valentine Road/Valentine Park <br /> to Highway 96. <br /> Also discussed were potential joint projects with Ramsey County: County Road E/Lake Johanna <br /> Blvd. from Indian Place to entrance to Tony Schmidt Regional Park on North side, County Road <br /> E/Lake Johanna Boulevard from entrance of Tony Schmidt Regional Park to Lindey's Park on <br /> North side of road, and the Elmer Anderson trail by Mounds View High School. <br /> 5. REPORTS <br /> None <br /> 6. NEXT MEETING <br /> The next PTRC Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, at Dunn Brother's <br /> Coffee, 6:30 p.m. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> The meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m. <br />
