ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL—APRIL 13, 2020 3 <br /> 9. NEW BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 11. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmember McClung stated he has appreciated seeing so many residents of Arden Hills out <br /> walking in the evenings with their families. He thanked everyone for keeping an appropriate <br /> distance. He encouraged residents to take advantage of the City's wonderful trail system during <br /> the coming weeks. <br /> Councilmember Holmes reported work would begin again on the I-35 MNPASS project and <br /> would continue through this fall. <br /> Councilmember Holmes stated they received an e-mail from a resident with health issues and <br /> asked Council to ask residents to limit recreational fires. She said staff may want to put a message <br /> on the website noting residents may want to limit recreational fires at this time in consideration <br /> for neighbors with health issues and the COVID-19 situation. <br /> Councilmember Holmes commented she has received questions and concerns regarding the <br /> proposed fire station. She encouraged the City to get more information out to the public regarding <br /> this project. She believed it would be valuable for the City to explain in detail the importance of <br /> having a fire station in Arden Hills. She suggested the Lake Johanna Fire Department's <br /> cooperative efforts also be described in further detail on the City's website. <br /> Councilmember Holden reported this week was tornado warning week which mean sirens would <br /> be going off at two different times on Thursday. She requested staff put this information on the <br /> City's website. <br /> Councilmember Holden stated she was getting questions regarding garage sales. <br /> Councilmember Holden recommended information regarding the fire station be placed on the <br /> City's website to address the questions and concerns being raised by the public. <br /> Councilmember Holden commented the Glen Paul neighborhood roads were in poor condition, <br /> and requested staff get started on the process for next year's project. <br /> Mayor Grant reported these roads were in horrible condition. He requested the City <br /> Administrator place a standing item on the agenda to allow staff to provide the Council with a <br /> Transportation Update at each City Council meeting going forward. He discussed how this would <br /> benefit the public with respect to the transportation projects occurring in and around the City, <br /> along with information for the MNPASS project. He also discussed updating links to projects on <br /> our website. <br />
