EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The Consultant shall complete the following work items as part of the professional services agreement. <br /> TASK 1: Project Coordination: Consultant will review all available project related information, provide <br /> single point of contact for project management, guide the project through completion, and attend up to <br /> three (3) coordination meetings with City staff and one meeting with the Rice Creek Watershed District <br /> staff. <br /> TASK 2: Project Survey: Consultant will conduct a topographic survey of the project corridor to collect <br /> elevations and locations of surface features, including the following items. <br /> A. Survey the project area consisting of approximately 34,000 square feet, with recommended <br /> survey boundary approved by City Engineer prior to conducting field work. <br /> ■ Reference Ramsey County Coordinate System, NAD83 (2011 adjustment). <br /> ■ Elevations based upon NAVD88. All units (horizontal and vertical) will be in US Survey Feet <br /> and given to the 0.01 foot. <br /> ■ Text (txt) file of all survey points, including project control, submitted to the City Engineer. <br /> B. Utility One-Call locating request to identify and survey the location of existing underground <br /> utilities. <br /> C. Base map of the project area depicting locations of existing surface features, contour lines, <br /> underground utilities and overhead utilities. <br /> TASK 3: Geotechnical Investigation: Consultant will coordinate geotechnical investigation for the site, <br /> including preparation of a geotechnical drilling and laboratory testing scope. The City will hire the <br /> geotechnical firm directly to conduct soil borings. Consultant will recommend boring locations,assign soil <br /> tests, and review boring logs to support project design. <br /> TASK 4: Alternatives Review: Consultant will review and evaluate two or more alternatives for conveying <br /> stormwater runoff from the easterly terminus of pavement to the existing culvert passing under the <br /> downstream City trail system.The alternatives analysis will begin with the confirmation of the watershed <br /> area draining to the easterly terminus of pavement. <br /> A. Prepare sketch drawing of two or more alternatives. <br /> B. Prepare high level cost estimates for two or more alternatives. <br /> C. Identify advantages and disadvantages of two or more alternatives. <br /> D. Summarize results in a brief(short) technical memorandum. <br /> E. Review memorandum with City staff and assist in selecting a preferred alternative. <br /> TASK 5: Construction Plans and Project Manual: Consultant will prepare a set of construction plans and <br /> project manual for the selected alternative. <br /> A. Plan set shall include, but is not limited to,the following sheets: <br /> ■ Title Sheet <br /> ■ Statement of Estimated Quantities <br />
