ARDEN HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION – April 15, 2020 8 <br /> <br />Commission on April 15, 2020. A roll call vote was taken. The motion carried unanimously <br />(7-0). <br /> <br />UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />REPORTS <br /> <br /> <br />A. Report from the City Council <br /> <br />Councilmember Scott provided the Commission with an update from the City Council. He <br />welcomed new Commissioners Marcie Jefferys and Kurtis Weber. He explained the Council has <br />been rather busy these last few weeks. He reported on March 23rd the Mayor declared a Local <br />State of Emergency and the full Council met to continue this emergency until further notice. He <br />stated City Hall has been closed to the public and only key staff was working onsite. He <br />commented on the staffing model that was being followed for Public Works personnel. He <br />reported all essential City services would continue. He stated all City recreational programs have <br />been canceled to keep in line with surrounding communities and playgrounds have recently been <br />closed. He encouraged residents to get outdoors and to take advantage of the City’s trail system. <br />He provided further comment on the actions the Council has taken on Planning Commission <br />cases. He stated the City Council would continue to meet on the second and fourth Monday of <br />the month. <br /> <br />B. Planning Commission Comments and Requests <br /> <br />Chair Gehrig welcomed Commissioner Jefferys and Commission Weber to the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Vijums explained he was able to tour the Mounds View High School and stated <br />the improvements were extremely impressive. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br /> <br />Commissioner Lambeth moved, seconded by Commissioner Vijums, to adjourn the April <br />15, 2020, Planning Commission Meeting at 8:01 p.m. A roll call vote was taken. The <br />motion carried unanimously (7-0). <br />
