<br />The following graph reflects the City’s General Fund revenues, budget and actual, for 2019:

<br /> Total General Fund revenues for 2019 were $5,424,905, which was $200,485 (3.8 percent) over the final
<br />budget. Licenses and permits ($271,510) and other ($84,264) were over budget, due to conservative
<br />budgeting for these sources. Taxes were $124,126 below anticipated levels, due to abatements and
<br />adjustments on delinquent balances.

<br />Total General Fund revenues for 2019 were $542,224 (11.1 percent) more than prior year. Taxes
<br />increased consistent with the change in the approved levy. Licenses and permits were more than the prior
<br />year, due to increased building activity in the current year. The increase in the other category was
<br />primarily in improved investment earnings.
