ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL _ APRIL 27,2020 l3 <br />Community Development ManagerlCity Planner Mrosla stated this would limit the amount of <br />redevelopment that could occur on any other parcels without another Comprehensive Plan Text <br />Amendment. <br />Councilmember McClung suggested the language read the land west of County Road 10, east of <br />I-35W and north of I-694. <br />Mayor Grant supported the clarity in this language <br />Councilmember Holmes did not support this language as she did not believe Arden Manor <br />should be included within the land area. <br />Councilmember Scott supported Councilmember McClung's language. <br />Councilmember McCIung stated to address Councilmember Holmes' concerns the language <br />could be amended to read east of I-35W, north of I-694, south of County Road 96 and west of <br />County Road 10. <br />Mayor Grant supported this recommendation as it was a well-defined area. <br />Councilmember Holmes agreed. <br />MOTION:Councilmember McClung moved and Mavor Grant seconded a motion to <br />adopt Resolution No. 2020-021. recommended submittal of the 2040 <br />Comprehensive Plan Text Amendment with the land suided for hish densitY <br />to include the area of Interstate 35W. south of Countv Sfate Aid Hiohwav <br />96. west of US Trunk Hiehwav 10 and north of interstate 694. <br />Councilmember Scott asked if it was critical to include south of County Road 96. <br />Councilmember Holmes stated it was important to her to have County Road 96 included. She <br />supported the final language from Councilmember McClung. <br />Mayor Grant agreed stating this created a clear area of land. <br />Councilmember Scott stated with the new language Arden Manor, Welch's and Scherer Brothers <br />was being omitted. <br />Mayor Grant reported this was the case. <br />Councilmember Scott explained he could support the motion on the table. <br />A roll call vote was taken.
