ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL _ MAY II,2O2O <br />3. RESPONSE TO PUBLIC INQUIRIES <br />None. <br />4. STAFF COMMENTS <br />A. Rice Creek Commons (TCAAP) and Joint Development Authority (JDA) Update <br />City Administrator Perrault provided an update on TCAAP stating litigation with Ramsey <br />County was ongoing. <br />B. COVID-l9 Update <br />City Administrator Perrault provided Council with a COVID-l9 update. He encouraged <br />residents to visit the City's website for the most current and up to date information regarding <br />COVID-|!. He also urged residents to visit the Minnesota Department of Health and CDC <br />websites for additional information on current guidelines and recommendations. He stated that <br />the City of Arden Hills remains in a peacetime state of emergency and City Hall will remain <br />closed to the public until at least Monday,May 18 but normal operations are continuing and staff <br />can be contacted by telephone or email. He stated that staff was awaiting additional guidance <br />from the Governor's office regarding whether or not the order would be extended past May 18, <br />lifted or modified. Additional information will be placed on the City's website as it becomes <br />available. He reminded the public that the Ramsey County Sheriffs Office has a COVID help <br />team to assist those in the community most at risk and urged those that need assistance to call <br />651-448-3874 or check the City's website. <br />C. Transportation Update <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Blomstrom reported work has begun on the I-35W <br />MNPASS project. He explained work this year would focus on the center section of the corridor. <br />He stated major work items would be the replacement of the County Road C and County Road I <br />bridges, along with noise wall installation. He indicated additional information regarding the I- <br />35W MNPASS project was available on the MnDOT website. <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Blomstrom stated City crews began street patching in <br />preparation for crack sealing and sealcoating. He indicated sealcoating work would begin in mid- <br />July and affected residents would be notified once the dates are established. <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Blomstrom provided the Council with an update on the <br />City's 2020 and202l streetimprovement projects. He reported construction on Lexinglon Avenue <br />would begin as soon as road restrictions were lifted in the spring of 2021. <br />Councilmember Holden explained she had received several calls from residents living in the <br />Glen Paul area that have concerns regarding the notice sent about the 2021 street improvement <br />project. <br />Public Works Director/City Engineer Blomstrom discussed the letter that was sent to these <br />residents in further detail with the Council. <br />2
