<br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM – 1F <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> DATE: June 8, 2020 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Councilmembers <br /> <br />FROM: Dave Perrault, City Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Contract City Policing Discussion <br />Budgeted Amount: Actual Amount: Funding Source: <br /> N/A N/A N/A <br /> <br />Council Should Consider <br /> <br />The City Council may consider giving direction on future discussions regarding contract city <br />policing. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />It was requested to bring forward to the City Council a preliminary discussion on policing within <br />the City of Arden Hills. Currently, the City is served by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office who <br />also serves the cities of Falcon Heights, Little Canada, North Oaks, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, <br />and White Bear Township. The City Council may want to request further discussion with the <br />Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, and the other contract cities, regarding policing strategies used <br />within the cities, training provided to officers, use of force protocols, and other relevant policing <br />topics. <br /> <br />Attachments <br />N/A
