ARDEN HILLS SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL—MAY 2812020 6 <br /> After a short discussion, the City Council agreed that garage sales should be suspended at this <br /> time. <br /> Councilmember Scott asked how many solicitor's permits the city issues typically in a season. <br /> City Administrator Perrault stated that the actual number of solicitor's permits is relatively <br /> small with just 5 permits having been issued in 2019. He noted fees are $158 per person for a <br /> background check and then a $105 per month license fee for the business itself. He stated that last <br /> year the city collected revenue totaling approximately $4,500. He said that currently there was one <br /> company's request pending for 13 potential door-to-door solicitors. <br /> A discussion ensued and the City Council agreed to suspend solicitor's permits at this time, noting <br /> this information should be relayed to the public on the City's website. <br /> 2. COUNCIL/STAFF COMMENTS <br /> None. <br /> ADJOURN <br /> MOTION: Mayor Grant moved and Councilmember Holden seconded a motion to <br /> adjourn. A roll call vote was taken.
