The licenses will be in effect
through June 30, 2022. Background checks were performed by the Ramsey County Sheriff’s
Office and the results were satisfactory.

According to the terms of the application, 10% of the net profits are to be contributed to the City
of Arden Hills to a special fund administered by the City Council; and they will also pay a Local
Gambling Tax of 3% of their gross receipts (less prizes paid out) to the City to cover expenses
incurred for regulating gambling activity. These organizations have been regularly submitting
their loss/profit information to the city without issue with their current licenses and staff
recommends the Council consider approving these renewals.

Attachment:
Attachment A: Resolution 2020-028
