Due to
COVID-19 and social distancing, this meeting will be conducted
via Zoom. Visit https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85023039000 to join the
meeting. Written comments are recommended and can be sent to City
Hall or emailed to DSwearingen@cityofardenhills.org. The final annual
SWPPP report will be submitted to the Minnesota Pollution Control
Agency. Further information and a copy of the report are on file at
Arden Hills City Hall, 1245 West Highway 96.
Night to Unite Moved to Tuesday, October 6
With the COVID-19 pandemic discouraging large gatherings for
the near future, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office is joining other
member agencies of the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association
in rescheduling the 2020 Night to Unite/National Night Out date to
Tuesday, October 6, 2020. More information will be available in future
newsletters.
Fall Cleanup Day Cancelled
The city’s Fall Cleanup Day is cancelled. Visit ramseyrecycles.org to
learn more about disposing of or donating items.
Calling 9-1-1 vs. the Non-Emergency Number
Did you know you can call 9-1-1 or the non-emergency line and both
calls will go to the same dispatch center, are answered by the same
people, and are recorded and tracked in the same way? The dispatcher
will use his or her discretion as to whether a call is an emergency or not,
and if it is an emergency, it will be given a higher priority.
The Sheriff’s Office has said all calls get recorded/tracked for either line
in the same manner. For example, if someone calls the non-emergency
line for a welfare check, it is documented and recorded as a call for
service just like calls that go to the 9-1-1 line. The Sheriff’s Office does
encourage residents to call 9-1-1 for ease of use; however, the dispatch
center does not have an official policy on only dialing 9-1-1.
