1 <br />Small Business Emergency Assistance Grant Program Parameters <br />Grant amount: <br />1.At the direction of the City Council the City of Arden Hills will make available <br />$150,000.00 of Coronavirus Relief Funds for the Small Business Emergency Assistance <br />Grant Program. <br />2.The maximum grant amount shall be $5,000.00 per eligible business. <br />3.Depending on available funding and demand for the program additional rounds of funding <br />may become available at a future date. <br />Eligibility Requirements: <br />1.Any Arden Hills business meeting the below criteria who can demonstrate loss due to <br />COVID-19 excluding home-based businesses, self-employed, and individual contractors. <br />2.The business shall have a physical address (proof of address required) within the City. <br />3.Business shall be in operation long enough to demonstrate financial viability prior to the <br />State of Minnesota Emergency Executive Order 20-04 (March 16, 2020). <br />4.The business shall employ between 3 and 45 persons prior to March 31, 2020. <br />5.All businesses shall be in good standing with the city. <br />a.All businesses shall be a conforming or a legally nonconforming use under the <br />current zoning regulations of the city. <br />b.Businesses shall not be in violation of the city’s zoning code. <br />c.Businesses shall not have delinquent taxes, bills or charges due to the City from <br />February 2020 or prior. <br />6.Applicants are strongly encouraged to claim all applicable private insurance and utilize all <br />other sources of applicable assistance available from other private and public sources, <br />including requests for rent/mortgage, utility and loan deferrals or forgiveness. Applicants <br />are also strongly encouraged to apply for emergency loans through the Small Business <br />Administration (SBA) and Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic <br />Development (DEED) prior to applying for this grant. <br />7.Applications must include proof of application submittal, acceptance, approval and/or <br />denial of state and federal emergency financing programs. <br />Non-eligibility Requirements:
