PAGE 4 <br />PROCEDURES FOR PURCHASES FROM $25,000 TO $175,000 <br /> <br />1. Obtain quotations by supplying prospective vendors with a description or specifications of the <br />merchandise, materials, equipment, or services to be purchased. A minimum of two (2) written <br />quotations, whenever possible, shall be supplied for such purchasespurchases less than <br />$50,000. A minimum of three (3) written quotations, whenever possible, shall be supplied for <br />purchases of $50,000 or more. If two or three quotations cannot be obtained, an explanation <br />must be included as to the reason for only one bid. <br /> <br />2. If the purchase is over $7,500$10,000 Council approval is required before the purchase can <br />be made.
