CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO.2020-052 <br />RESOLUTION TO CLOSE THE SMALL BUSINESS EMERGENCY <br />ASSISTANCE GRANT PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the federal and state governments have provided federal financial assistance <br />through the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to Minnesota <br />cities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, The funds are now available and the City is required <br />to expend all of its funds by November 15, 2020, and; <br />WHEREAS, one of the eligible costs for use of the federal funding is to provide financial <br />assistance to local businesses that have been financially impacted by the pandemic, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City Council at its August 24, 2020 meeting approved establishing a <br />small business emergency assistance grant program to provide financial assistance to its local <br />businesses in accordance with CARES Act funding and guidelines, and; <br />WHEREAS, the application submittal period closed on Friday, October 23, 2020, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Arden <br />Hills, Minnesota, that: <br />1. Businesses that have previously submitted applications, but not all of the required <br />documentation, will be required to submit all outstanding documentation by November 6, <br />2020.
