ARDEN HILLS CITY COUNCIL – OCTOBER 26, 2020 3 <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to approve the September 28, 2020, Regular City Council meeting <br />minutes, October 12, 2020, Special City Council Executive Session (Closed) <br />meeting minutes, and October 12, 2020, Regular City Council meeting <br />minutes as amended. Motion to Approve Appointment of Communications Coordinator <br /> <br />MOTION: Councilmember Holden moved and Councilmember Holmes seconded a <br />motion to approve the Consent Calendar as presented and to authorize <br />execution of all necessary documents contained therein. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. City of Arden Hills Purchasing Policy <br /> <br />Mayor Grant stated the City’s Purchasing Policy was last updated in 2014. Since that time, the <br />State Legislature has revised Minnesota Statute 471.345 on Uniform Municipal Contracting Law <br />increasing contract limits and Minnesota Statute 471.38 on Claims requiring local governments to <br />have a policy on electronic funds transfers. He commented further on the proposed changes and <br />noted information related to Cooperative Purchasing and Environmental Purchasing needs to be <br />added. <br />
