The report outlines the potential <br />improvements to Snelling Avenue North from County Road E to State Trunk Highway 51. The <br />feasibility study was previously ordered by City Council Resolution 2019-026. <br />The feasibility report describes proposed street and utility improvements organized into two separate <br />areas. Area 1 involves improvements to the 4,300-ft long segment of Snelling Avenue North located <br />south of County Road E as well as street improvements to Cummings Lane and the intersection at <br />Bussard Court. Area 2 involves improvements to the intersection of Snelling Avenue North at <br />County Road E. <br />A significant portion of the report is focused on an analysis of two design alternatives for Snelling <br />Avenue extending to the south of County Road E (Area 1). Alternative 1 consisting of road <br />improvements that include the addition of a pedestrian trail along the west side of the roadway. <br />Alternative 2 consists of roadway improvements that exclude the trail construction, but maintains <br />8-ft wide paved shoulders along the length of the road. <br />
