Tree Mitigation7•City Code section 1325.055 Subd 5 states that Applicant is required to replace removed trees with trees of a species similar to the trees which are lost or removed. •If the replacement tree plantings cannot be reasonably accommodated on the site, the City can work with the applicant to find off-site locations for the plantings or require that a fee in lieu of the plantings be provided. The fee in lieu amount shall be the cost of materials and installation tree, plus ten (10) percent. •As a condition of approval, prior to the issuance of a grading and erosion control permit the Applicant shall work with the City to locate the additional caliper inches of replacement trees on the site or on the adjacent properties.
