The City Council should <br />also consider authorizing the Finance Director to complete all corresponding budget adjustments. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br /> <br />City staff was directed to solicit engineering design proposals to prepare project construction <br />plans for the Mounds View High School Trail project. The proposed project would involve <br />construction of two trail segments. <br /> Segment 1 along the west side of Snelling Avenue North (CSAH 76) from the <br />intersection of County Road E2 (CSAH 73) to Lake Valentine Road <br /> Segment 2 along Lake Valentine Road from Snelling Avenue North (CSAH 76) to the <br />south parking lot at Mounds View High School. <br />A Request for Proposals was issued on December 17, 2020. The scope of work for the project <br />includes preparation of an alternatives analysis to determine a recommended trail alignment, <br />preparation of construction plans, coordination with Ramsey County, and preparation of legal <br />descriptions for easements needed to construct the project. The scope of work does not include <br />the preparation of specifications, final permitting, bidding assistance or construction <br />administration. These tasks can be provided after the City secures sufficient funding to build the <br />project. <br />CONSENT ITEM – 6E <br /> MEMORANDUM <br />
