The purpose of this project is to
address excessive erosion near the south end of Karth Lake caused by runoff from adjacent land
uses. Urban runoff is currently being directed down a steep slope to a city trail along the southern
boundary of Cummings Park. The grant agreement provides 50% funding from RCWD for the
project, up to a maximum amount of $90,000.

On April 27, 2020, the City Council approved Professional Services Agreement with Ulteig
Engineering to complete project design, project manual, easement documents and construction
administration. The project has since reached 100% design and is ready for solicitation of bids to
construct during the 2021 construction season.

CONSENT ITEM – 6D
MEMORANDUM
