To view the final document, access adopted Resolutions via Arden Hills Public Laserfiche Weblink by visiting cityofardenhills.org and clicking on Archived Documents under Helpful Links on our main webpage. <br />203065v1 <br />CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NUMBER 2021-014 <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING THE SUPPORT OF A JOB CREATION FUND <br />APPLICATION IN CONNECTION WITH BOSTON SCIENTIFIC CORPORATION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills, Minnesota (the “City”), desires to assist Boston <br />Scientific Corporation, a medical manufacturing company, which is proposing to construct a <br />facility in the City; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills understands that Boston Scientific, through and with <br />the support of the City, intends to submit to the Minnesota Department of Employment and <br />Economic Development an application for an award and/or rebate from the Job Creation Fund <br />Program; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Arden Hills considered this matter at city council meetings on <br />March 8 and March 15, 2021. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF ARDEN HILLS, MINNESOTA, that, after due consideration, the City Council of the City <br />of Arden Hills, Minnesota, hereby adopt the following findings of fact related to the project <br />proposed by Boston Scientific and its application for an award and/or rebate from the Job Creation <br />Fund Program and express their approval. <br />The Cit y Council hereby finds and adopts the reasons and facts supporting the following <br />findings of fact for the approval of the Job Creation Fund Program application: <br />1.Finding that the project is in the public interest because it will encourage the growth <br />of commerce and industry, prevent the movement of current or future operations to <br />locations outside Minnesota, result in increased employment in Minnesota, and <br />preserve or enhance the state and local tax base. <br />a.Boston Scientific currently employees 37,298 permanent, full-time employees <br />company-wide and 10,169 permanent, full-time employees in the state of <br />Minnesota. The proposed project site currently employees 4,608 permanent, full- <br />time employees. <br />b.The proposed addition to Building 14 will create one-hundred and fifty (150) new <br />jobs for the State of Minnesota and the City of Arden Hills. <br />c.Ninety (90) of the newly created positions will be for production builders. This <br />position will include a total hourly compensation rate, including benefits, of $25.20. <br />Sixty (60) of the newly created position will be for office staff. This position will <br />include a total hourly compensation rate, including benefits, of $53.90.
