2
of a path and safer pedestrian walkway, the current proposed path in Alternative 1 between Arden Place and Skiles Lane
is our concern. As the only house with a driveway that would be impacted on this stretch (it is not currently documented
in the plan), our concern is with safety of where the proposed path would cross our driveway. Due to the hills and trees I
am concerned that it would create a blind intersection between pedestrians and vehicles backing out/coming in to our
driveway and a safety hazard to my family and pedestrians on the path.

If the current design remains Alternative 1 and part of the official proposal, I request that a safety assessment of this
intersection be conducted.

Jamie and I would be happy to discuss further so please let us know if you have questions or would like to talk through.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Mike and Jamie Halleckson
1471 Skiles Lane

From: Jamie Halleckson <jamiehalleckson@gmail.com>
Sent: Monday, December 21, 2020 8:28 PM
To: Mike.Halleckson <Mike.Halleckson@target.com>
Subject: [EXTERNAL] Fwd: Old Snelling project

Sent from my iPhone

Begin forwarded message:
From: Jamie Halleckson <jamiehalleckson@gmail.com>
Date: August 27, 2020 at 12:59:59 PM CDT
To: Todd Blomstrom <TBlomstrom@cityofardenhills.org>
Subject: Re: Old Snelling project
Thanks for the timeline. A speed study would be great. That would include Old Snelling
(specifically the stretch south of Lindy’s?) I had thought that was a state road, but that’s great if
it’s not.
Sent from my iPhone

On Aug 27, 2020, at 12:13 PM, Todd Blomstrom
<TBlomstrom@cityofardenhills.org> wrote:

The proposed roundabout may be discussed at a work session next month, otherwise
the feasibility report for the overall project would be completed and presented to the
City Council in November.
